The inaugural issue of The Confidential Clerk (Volume I, Issue 1) was launched on 31st March, 2015 at the Audio-Visual Room in the Department of English, Jadavpur University. Among those present at the event were the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Prof. Rajat Acharyya, Prof. Santanu Biswas (Head of the Department of English), Prof. Sheila Lahiri Choudhury, Prof. Chandreyee Niyogi, Prof. Saswati Haldar, Prof. Prodosh Bhattacharya, Prof. Abhijit Gupta, the Editorial Team of the journal, research scholars and students of the Department.
